We ordered soooooo much food! Had this chicken which was roasted in honey or something deliciously sweet, pork which you dip in a chilli sauce ( of course), fish, pork and beef larbs, and of course som tam....two kinds...not spicy for the farang, and spicy for the Thai...but in the end I thought both turned out to be spicy! Also had khaow niaow- sticky rice, which comes in a packet and you eat with your fingers. All of it was sooo sooo nice! Here is the food....
Finally they gave us this soup which I think was made of every imaginable part of the pig...but even our Thai friends didn't quite know what it was.....I think it was definately a pig in there....but I can't identify which parts...strange, but tasted ok!
After our morning of eating I headed into MBK to meet Takeo and look at his English translation of his resume....hmmmm he is trying to translate a summary of his job as a computer programmer....I wouldn't even understand that in English let alone Japanese....so anyways, I hope I was some help! There was a Nihon Festival....involved some bad bad bad JPop and about 50 screaming teenagers at Siam Discovery.
After that, went over to Paragon and came across a pretzel shop called Auntie Anne's...something I have never seen before, so I had to try this new sensation. Ordered their classic pretzel and a strawberry Dutch ice...according to the cup it is the perfect companion of a pretzel....Im not sure about that, it didn't taste very nice.
Had dinner at this noodle shop which had THE WORLD'S MOST ANNOYING THEME SONG. AND.... they played it on repeat for the entire time we were there...nothing but naw naw naw naw naw naw Tha Siaaaaaam....naw naw naw naw naw ThaSiaaaaaam.....maybe they play it so you hurry up and eat and leave and free the table up for someone else who will eat and leave equally as quickly..... Anyways, the meal was nice there and came in this cool boat shaped bowl.
And to finish the day....I am back to hating the buses here.......why cant they have JR here.....?????
