100 food secrets in BKK

During November, I was able to tick a few more places to eat off the 100 food secrets in BKK list! So, the food secret places I went to were:
i) Roti Mataba

This is a small rotti shop on Phra Atthit rd near Thammasat Uni...or near Khao San Rd for those that don't know Thammasat. It is amazing! You can watch them making the roti from outside.

The only thing is the rotti is small...so you have to order about 50.....but it is cheap! And when you order a curry, you get a rotti for free! I ordered the goat curry....very tasty....yes goat is tasty, you should all rush out and buy goat to make a curry asap.

ii) Baan Phra Atthit

This place is also on the same road as Roti Mataba. It's a famous old house which has been converted into a coffee shop, and is very relaxing compared to what's outside on the road. It has really cool smoothies like this banana, chocolate and coffee smoothie. Very nice.

iii) Beirut

This place is considered some of the nicest lebanese food in Bangkok, and it is really good! It's at Ploen Chit BTS station. When you order you get complimentary dip with vegetables. I actually went twice coz it was so good. Ordered a lebanese salad...fatouche salad (maybe spelling wrong sorry) and it was nice, but maybe they put a bit too much lemon in the dressing. The grilled chicken on flavoured yellow rice was so amazingly good I ordered it both times.

iv) Soi Polo Fried Chicken
This place is supposedly the best fried chicken (kay thoot) in the whole of Bangkok....a big claim if you ask me....but it was great! Can;t be sure if it was the best, because I do like the kay thoot at tha prachan a lot...but it was worth the incredibly long walk...twice (remember this was the place that was closed last time I tried to find it) for the food. Also had som tam and larb kay and the larb kay was AMAZING!
v) Lung Jars
Ok, so Lung Jars restaurant is not on the 100 food secrets list, BUT, it should be! I eat here almost every day, and his food is unfaulteringly amazing. And it is so cheap. He is so kind. AND, if you're particularly lucky, you might get to watch Phi Naa make these cool paper boats while you eat your green chicken curry/something else delicious. Here is a picture of Lung Jar cooking kway thiaw, and Phii Naa making the boats
